Who Are we?
When I first started out doing photography I never thought I would get the chance to work together with my lovely wife Lydia. As the business grew and we were photographing more and more weddings as well as taking on video work for businesses and wedding films, I realized I could not continue to do this alone.
Lydia has developed her own unique style as we have worked together. My main focus is telling the story and directing the creative vision for each project. Lydia has a keen eye for details and special moments. Together we are able to create something unique and wonderful every time.
Think of it this way - I create the cake, but Lydia makes the sprinkles and the decorations that make it truly exceptional.
Over time the name “Dan Reynolds Photography” has gained some recognition so we’ve decided to keep it. Although “Reynolds Photo + Film” might be more accurate!
Our passion for travel led to a love of capturing special moments in photos and videos. Our journeys took us to Spain, Italy, Ireland, France, Morocco, Israel, Jordan, Argentina, Chile, Thailand and all over the US. We especially loved biking from the Pyrenees Mountains of France across to the Rioja Region of Spain.
We love people! When we leave a wedding reception at the end of the night we often receive hugs from the bride and groom and family!
I’m proud of the relationships I’ve developed with businesses small and large - being the trusted videographer for premium real estate companies and dental offices.
My artistic eye caught the attention of some couples looking for a wedding photographer and there began Dan Reynolds Photography. We have found there is nothing more satisfying than delivering precious wedding moments to couples.
Most of our work is done in the Chicago area, but we also cover Central Illinois, including our home base - Peoria, and we also love working in St. Louis!

As a hybrid photo and video shooter I love the Sony system. The autofocus speed and reliability ensures that almost all of my images turn out the way I want! My main photo camera is the Sony A1, and my main video camera is the Sony A7siii. Lydia shoots with the A7iv and she is in love with the 70-200mm 2.8 lens! I generally shoot with 35mm 1.4 and 135mm 1.8

We absolutely love a good excuse to take a drive or a flight especially to a beautiful place! If you are getting married wherever, we’d be happy to be there.
